HOW LIFESTYLE AFFECTS BREAST MILK

Some thoughts

Protein intake in excess of that required to build muscle (and other) tissue is broken-down by gluconeogenesis to be used as energy or stored as fat. As another example, lycopene is prevalent in tomatoes (and actually is the chemical that gives tomatoes their red color). It is more highly concentrated, however, in processed tomato products such as commercial pasta sauce, or tomato soup, than in fresh "healthy" tomatoes. Such sauces, however, tend to have high amounts of salt, sugar, other substances a person may wish or even need to avoid.
